The novel is divided into a series of seven books, of which two (Miles and Perses) are divided into two parts. They are:

Book I – Corax (chapters 1 to 4)

Book II – Nymphus (chapters 5 to 53)

Book III – Miles Pt 1 (chapters 54 to 81)

Book IV – Perses Pt 1 (chapters 82 to 89)

Book V – Miles Pt 2 (chapters 90 to 100)

Book VI – Perses Pt 2

The first two chapters of Book VI Perses Pt 2 have now been posted. They are Chapters 101, 102 in the sequence.

Chapters are posted individually, as they are completed.

The blog also publishes Sion’s other current work – poems, short stories, and essays.

Sion welcomes comments and questions about the issues explored in Another Way of Being.

Notes

Some readers have pointed out that the names of the individual books appear to correspond with the Latin and Greek names of the seven stages of Mithraic initiation. This is correct. The stages of initiation are:

1) Corax (Crow)

2) Nymphus (Male Bride)

3) Miles (Soldier)

4) Leo (Lion)

5) Perses (The Persian)

6) Heliodromus (Courier of the Sun)

7) Pater (Father)
